Weekend Wrap-up – August 4, 2012

by Dallon Christensen

It’s the weekend and time for the Making Business Happen Weekend Wrap-up! This post series, which I previously posted on Friday, highlights interesting applications and content I’ve found during my recent research. I don’t go into detail on any of these items, but I encourage you to check them out if you have an interest. The picture is a recent favorite from Flickr.

Projectbook – Projectbooks is a new entry to the organizational and productivity application market for the iPad. This looks like an interesting application to organize thoughts and ideas with a variety of media options. Web-based and iPhone options are likely on the way, and the app is on sale for $1.99 through mid-August.

Don’t worry about the haters – Consultant and writer extraordinaire Alan Weiss even has detractors. If the author of over 30 books and a consultant to some of the world’s top companies gets hate comments, we should probably expect some as well. In other words, don’t worry too much about criticism.

A legitimate iPhone competitor – It’s no secret that I am a big fan of Apple products. However, Samsung has introduced a phone that is a beautiful competitor to the iPhone. Millions agree with me.

Bringing a customer onboard the right way – It can take a tremendous amount of effort to land that client. Why not ensure the first experience is great? John Jantsch explains how to do this.

Enjoy your weekend!
