How I Make Business Happen – My new blogging workflow

by Dallon Christensen

I consistently blog five times a week. I want a blogging workflow where I can generate ideas and work on new posts at any time. I adopted this blogging workflow to let me work online, offline, and from any of my devices. This workflow allows me to be much more productive and keep a number of blog drafts open so I can post content in advance. I am able to take time to edit my posts and not rush to meet deadlines.

Here are the key tools to help you adopt my blogging workflow.

Michael Hyatt’s blogging template – Michael Hyatt was generous enough to share his Evernote blogging template with his readers. I adopted the tool, and it has made a huge difference in how I generate and organize my blog ideas.

Byword (Mac App Store) – I have Byword on both of my Macs and save my work to Dropbox (affiliate link) so I can work on my desktop or my laptop. However, I do most of my writing on my laptop. Byword also has an iOS app that syncs with Dropbox, but I do not use it as much as the App Store app.

MarsEdit - A very powerful Mac-only blog editor that allows me to edit my blogs online or off-line.
